The Office of Enrollment Services recently recommended that the $8,000 a year merit-based Trustee Scholarship given to twenty students each semester be eliminated. Although the fate of the scholarship has yet to be determined, President Dan Weiss said the decision has less to do with the argument against merit-based awards than it does with a reallocation of funds to need-based scholarships.

Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) debated Sen. Joseph Biden (D-DE) on Oct. 2 as both politicians sought to be the next Vice President of the United States.
As the debate started out, Gwen Ifill, journalist for PBS and debate moderator, greeted the candidates. Palin broke the silence on stage by saying to the democratic candidate, "Hey, can I call you Joe?"
Ifill started the debate with Joe Biden and immediate focus was placed on the state of America's economy.

What do you get when you concoct some Lil' Wayne with Chicago, a pinch of Missy Elliot, a thin layer of Phil Collins, whipped up with Procol Harum and dash of Kanye West to top it all off? A recipe for a musical genre created by the deejay Girl Talk.

Only twenty minutes after my first meeting with sophomore Gabe Arnold in front of Bunce Hall, I already had him running away. "O.K, this is a fence, but I look at it and I think, I can do something here," he said, before jumping over a rail and into the bottom of a basement stairwell, only to climb up the wall and back over the rail.

I remember the day during my childhood when I realized I wasn't safe.
On April 20, 1999, I came home from school and turned on MTV, as I used to do back then, to see reports coming through of a massive school shooting.
Two students had gone on a killing spree, murdering 12 students and a teacher, wounding 23 others, and ultimately turning the guns on themselves.

Archbold has been the official Benjamin Franklin of Philadelphia since 1987, and his photo appears on Philly postcards and city cab maps to prove it.
