The Leopards came out of the tunnel firing on all cylinders last Saturday, but ended up having to hold on for a nail biting 24-17 victory over the Penn Quakers. This was a solid victory for the Leopards, who have always struggled against Penn. The Leopards have an all-time record of 20-61-4 against their closest Ivy League neighbors.

No, we do not have a chance to beat the No. 1 team in the nation like we did when our men's lacrosse team upset Virginia in Charlottesville two years ago. No, we are not playing a game in the NCAA Tournament like Malik Rose and our men's basketball team did in 1996.

Has anyone ever been cut from a team? It's an experience most of us have felt at some point. Laura Paulsen was cut too. When she was a ninth grader, her family made a long move from Colorado to Maryland. In a brand new school, not knowing anyone, Laura decided to try out for tennis to meet people.

After the Profs found the end zone on four of their first five drives in Saturday afternoon's 39-24 home win over the William Paterson Pioneers, it's safe to say Rowan's early scoring drought is over.
It seemed like déjà vu, as Rowan's first drive came to a screeching halt after just three plays, when junior quarterback Frank Wilczynski's first pass of the game was intercepted by Dion Benjamin.

The Villanova Wildcats last week were given all they could handle from the Pennsylvania Quakers. However, despite a sloppy game in which it threw four interceptions, Villanova was able to overcome its mistakes and prevail in overtime. This week, Villanova cannot afford to make the same mistakes against Richmond that it did against Penn, or else the Wildcats will find themselves in a big hole.

When I hear people talking about how awesome it is that Philadelphia won a championship a few months ago, I think to myself, are you in 1983? Not that I have heard many people say that, but with the few who do, I shake my head in disbelief. The Philadelphia Soul winning the Arena Bowl championship is completely meaningless.

Over the last year, the Energy Information Administration of the U.S. government has reported a $0.906 per gallon increase in the cost of gasoline. This spike has led many consumers around the country to look for an alternative mode of transportation or simply to look more closely at their spending habits and set aside more money for use at the pump.
